Welcome to My Kitchen: Sweet Noodle Kugel

Hi I’m Suzanne, welcome to my kitchen in
Santa Monica. Today I’m making my famous kugel Ah kugel! It’s a Jewish holiday staple.
Everyone has their version, but my sweet kugel is a family favorite. For it you’ll
need: eggs, sugar, vanilla extract sour cream, cottage cheese, cream cheese, whole milk, butter unsalted, medium Manishewitz egg noodles, golden raisins, crushed
pineapple, graham cracker crumbs, cornflake crumbs, and cinnamon. This is a fattening delicious recipe don’t skimp! Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees. Put 4
tablespoons of butter in a pyrex dish and melt in the oven. While that’s
melting, turn on the stove, boil water, and pour in 8 ounces of medium egg
Manischewitz noodles. While that’s cooking, start to make the kugel topping
YUM! In a bowl, add 2/3 cup of graham cracker crumbs 2/3 cup of cornflake
crumbs 6 tablespoons of melted butter 1 teaspoon of cinnamon 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla 1/2 a cup of sugar and mix together with a fork once everything is mixed together dig in with your hand and you’ll know it’s ready when you
squeeze a mixture in your fist and it comes out to a ball consistency When you’re done with the topping you’ll head over to the oven and pull out the melted
butter. Take your pastry brush and paint! Set aside, check on the noodles, and we’ll
go and make our kugel base Take 2 eggs 8 ounces of sour cream 8 ounces of cottage cheese and 8 ounces of regular cream cheese Cut the block into pieces Add the 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla Turn on the mixer and after you
do that, put in 1/2 cup of sugar Add one cup of whole milk Take the 4 tablespoons of melted butter and pour the excess butter into the mixture Add 1/2 cup of golden raisins 8 ounces of crushed pineapple with the juices drained And mix it on a low setting And then you add the noodles! Once it’s evenly mixed, pour it in the buttered up Pyrex dish Then take the topping and sprinkle it over the noodles Start at the edges and work your way in
and pat like a dog Stick it in the oven and wait 45 to 50 minutes And while you’re waiting go clean your kitchen You’ll know when it’s ready when
the butter is bubbling and the kugel is browning on the side of the glass dish Let it cool off and enjoy! Mmm it’s sweet nice consistency, soft, crunchy. Bon
Appetit! Shana Tova to you and your family and
have a happy and sweet New Year
