Unclean Meat: Can Christians Eat Pork?

Unclean Meat: Can Christians Eat Pork?

Could it be that Satan has a buffet? What if this buffet was open on street corners,
shopping malls, and in homes all across the world!? What if millions of Christians were unknowingly
eating at this buffet, destroying their bodies, and violating God’s laws of health? In this video, we will discover what the Bible
says about unclean meat, alcohol, and more! Hi, this is Dustin with Hope Through Prophecy! If you’d like to better understand Bible
Prophecy, please subscribe and hit the bell icon below! God loves us so much that He has revealed
the best foods to eat, and the foods to avoid. He wants us to be healthy and happy – with
a clear mind to serve Him well. Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all
things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. And we can be sure that what we eat and drink
does matter to God. Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever
you do, do all to the glory of God. We are wholistic being, what we eat affects
our body and mind, which affects our relationship with God. And God is our Creator. And who better than our Creator to tell us
how to care for our bodies. Fortunately, our Creator has given us an owners
manual – the Holy Bible. Today, we will refer to that owner’s manual
and discover God’s nutrition plan designed to care for our bodies and give us optimal
health! But first, we will visit the competition – Babylon’s
buffet – a way of eating and living designed to destroy your body and mind, and even rob
you of eternal life. We will consider the different sections of
it’s menu – The entrees, the side dishes, the beverages,
and the extras. I want to first say this. I know this message may be a bombshell – a
surprise – to many of you, and I know that diet can a be a sensitive topic. I also know many sincere, loving Christians
who are not yet practicing what we will now see from the Bible, and I don’t judge their
hearts. God will only hold us responsible for what
we know, or had the chance to know. So let us now go by the Bible, with the goal
to glorify God in how we eat and live. In Leviticus Chapter 11, God reveals to us
which animals are acceptable to eat, and which are not. First, God reveals the land animals that are
forbidden. Among others, this list includes
the camel, the rabbit, and brace yourselves for this one friend – the swine. Yes, the pig, and all associated pork products,
including sausage, pepperoni, bacon, and ham, are forbidden by God. Was this just an arbitrary decision by God? Is He trying to keep good food from us? Not at all. God created our bodies, and He knows what
is best for them. You see, God created the pig to be a scavenger,
almost like nature’s garbage can. A pig will eat almost anything, including
feces and even it’s own young. So, pigs serve a very important purpose in
this world, but they are not meant to be eaten. According to the Bible, the only land animals
that can be eaten are those that have a split hoof AND chew the cud. This includes animals such as the cow, goat,
deer, and lamb. Consider this short clip from pastor Joel
Ostein. I do not endorse Joel, or all of his doctrines,
but his words in this clip are Biblical, science-based, and true. Ham, bacon, pepperoni – these are some of
the things the Scripture says we should not eat. As Joel mentioned, we should avoid these foods
for our health sakes, and to honor God. The ushers have already locked the doors. And of course, this has to do with anything
that comes from a pig, a hog, a swine. And I know some of you love pork chops; you
love ham and cheese sandwiches – I grew up on all that. I love bacon, but, for our health sake, we
have to be willing to make some changes. God knows what’s best for us, and back in
the Bible days, the pig was considered unclean – it was never considered a source of food. One of the main reasons why is that a pig
will eat anything. A pig eats waste and garbage. This is kind of gross, but a pig will eat
it’s own dead child. A pig will eat other sick and infected animals
– their scavengers. What’s interesting is that the pig has one
of the quickest and poorest digestive systems of any animal – it takes only 4 hours, and
that’s not good. Because the digestive system is so quick,
and so poor, many times the toxins from the food are not properly eliminated and they
are stored in the pig’s fat. That means that pig can eat all kind of filth
and garbage – it can eat other infection – 4 hours later it’s sent to the slaughter
and butchered, and in a few days, it’s on your plate at home. You’re having ribs – the problem is the
toxins were not properly eliminated from the pig. On the other hand, the animals that God says
are OK for us to eat, like cow, lamb, deer, Buffalo – these animals eat fresh, clean vegetation. Their digestive system is much more sophisticated. In fact, a cow basically has 3 stomachs. And that fresh, clean vegetation is processed
through a digestive system that takes 24 hours. Think about it – 24 hours vs. 4 hours. Would you rather eat an animal that eats waste
and filth, or an animal that eats fresh, clean vegetation? An animal that poorly processes the food,
and stores the toxins in it’s fat, or an animal that properly eliminates the toxins
from it’s body? I made changes not only for my health’s
sake. I made changes
to honor God. When it comes to marine animals, God directs
that only animals with both fins and scales can be eaten – this would include fish such
as salmon and tuna. Creatures such as catfish, lobster, and shrimp,
are forbidden, and even called an abomination. Pastor Ostein speaks briefly about these creatures
as well: Something else the Bible tells us we should
stay away from is any kind of shell fish – shrimp, clams, oysters, lobsters. Again.. Would y’all quit being so rebellious today! I’m ruining all y’alls lunch. These are animals that are scavengers. Do you know that they live at the bottom of
the water and they eat waste – they eat the excrement of other animals? And I love fried shrimp, but when I think
about what that shrimp eats for dinner, it’s just not that appetizing anymore. As Joel mentioned, these animals are scavengers
– they help keep the ocean clean, but were not designed to be eaten. In regards to birds, Leviticus 11 goes on
to prohibit eagles, vultures, and several others, while birds such chicken and turkey
are not forbidden. Some may say “But Dustin, those are old-testament
laws just for the Jews – we don’t have to keep those anymore!”. Let’s talk about this. For one, Leviticus 11 is not the first place
that the Bible makes the distinction between clean and unclean meats. In fact, Noah was directed to take 7 of each
clean animal, and 2 of each unclean onto the ark, long before the Jewish nation even existed:
You shall take with you seven each of every clean animal, a male and his female; two each
of animals that are unclean, a male and his female. You see, the original diet given to human
beings in the garden of Eden was plant-based. It was not until after the flood that God
allowed humans to eat meat, but He specified which were clean, and which were unclean. God gave these laws to humans because He knows
what is best for us and our bodies. We have the same human bodies as the people
in the Old Testament, and these unclean meats affect our bodies in the same way. Also, breaking these health laws is a violation
of the 6th commandment “Thou shalt not kill”. When we place harmful items in our body, we
are slowly killing ourselves. Not surprisingly, modern science confirms
the negative affect that pork, for example, has on the body:
In a 2013 investigation, consumer reports tested 198 samples of pork products nationwide
and found that nearly 70% were contaminated with potentially harmful bacteria. And the world health organization has even
classified processed meats – including bacon, salami, ham, and hotdogs, as a group 1 carcinogen
– which is an item that causes cancer. Some might say, “but I’ve been eating
these things all my life, and I feel just fine!”. The Bible warns:
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. Diseases, ailments, and early deaths caused
by consuming harmful items can take years to set in, and many of these lifestyle diseases
can even be transferred down to our innocent offspring. The good news is, if we change our diet, our
body’s cells can miraculously heal and repair themselves. But the sooner we make these changes, the
better. Did Christians in the New Testament also avoid
eating unclean meats? Peter received a vision with all kinds of
creatures being lowered on a blanket, and he heard a voice that said “kill, and eat”. Carefully notice Peter’s response:
But Peter said, “Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or
unclean.” You see, Peter, living after the time of Jesus’
resurrection, understood the Bible teaching that we are not to eat meats that are unclean. So, why was Peter told to “kill and eat”? We see the answer in Acts 10:28:
God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean. The dream was not about eating meat. The purpose of this dream was to show Peter
that the gentiles, or non-Jews, should not be considered unclean. Some sincere Christians quote 1 Timothy 4:3-4
For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving. Is this verse really saying that we can eat
anything? Skunks, rats, swine, or anything we want? Not at all. In Paul’s day, it was common for meat to
be sacrificed to idols. Referring to this, another verse says:
Eat whatever is sold in the meat market, asking no questions for conscience’ sake. In other words, the meat did not become evil
even if it was sacrificed to idols. So, when 1 Timothy 4:3 mentions that every
creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if received with thanksgiving,
it is referring to meat that has been sacrificed to idols, not to unclean meats that God has
already forbidden. The Bible does not contradict itself. Romans 14 is a similar passage also referring
to meat sacrificed to idols. If there were any doubts remaining on whether
eating pork and other unclean meats is a sin, this next verse makes it crystal clear. Referring to the future second coming of Jesus,
Isaiah says: Behold, the Lord will come with fire … and
by His sword the Lord will judge all flesh; and the slain of the Lord shall be many. Those who sanctify themselves and purify themselves
… eating swine’s flesh and the abomination and the mouse, shall be consumed together”
While this verse may be strong, we must be clear on how serious this issue is to God. Those who continue to eat the foods that God
has declared to be unclean will be destroyed at His second coming. So, what else is being served at Babylon’s
buffet? We will now consider the side dishes – fat
and blood: This shall be a perpetual statute throughout
your generations in all your dwellings: you shall eat neither fat nor blood. The Bible is clear that the fat and blood of animals is strictly forbidden. The Bible reveals to us that
…the life of the flesh is in the blood… And science confirms that impurities and diseases
of animals can be found in their fat and blood. There is a reason that God forbids these items
– to protect us. Babylon’s Buffet also has a beverage menu. The Bible describes these harmful drinks:
Wine is a mocker, strong drink is a brawler, and whoever is led astray by it is not wise. Notice that the Bible tells us that whoever
is led astray by alcohol is not wise. According to Medical News Today, researchers
from San Diego State University reveal that “their findings suggest that even a single
alcoholic drink can impair our ability to make decisions, though we’re not aware of
it.” So even a single drink causes our minds to
be impaired and led astray. Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has contentions? Who has complaints? Who has wounds without cause? Who has redness of eyes? Those who linger long at the wine, Those who
go in search of mixed wine. Do not look on the wine when it is red, When
it sparkles in the cup, When it swirls around smoothly; At the last it bites like a serpent,
And stings like a viper. The Bible does not paint a positive picture
of alcohol. It does not take long to look at our society
and see the disastrous effects that alcohol has had on families and communities. It is even more important for us, as Christians
living in the last days, to completely avoid alcohol. For Jesus
…washed us from our sins in His own blood…and has made us kings and priests to His God and
Father… Abd the Bible says
It is not for kings, O Lemuel, It is not for kings to drink wine, Nor for princes intoxicating
drink; lest they drink and forget the law, And pervert the justice of all the afflicted. Friends, let us purify our lives from anything
that would get between us and God. Before we visit God’s Diner, let us consider
just a few more items served at Babylon’s buffet. We need to talk briefly about nicotine and
caffeine. Although legal, both of these items are drugs
that stimulate the body’s central nervous system. Both are addictive and harmful to the body. The Bible warns us about placing anything
in our body that would defile it. Do you not know that you are the temple of
God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will
destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple
you are. Caffeine, often found in coffee, soda, and
energy drinks, along with nicotine, often found in cigarettes and other tobacco products,
should be completely avoided. Instead of these habits, we should make sure
to drink plenty of pure, clean water. Let us honor God with the body that He has
lent to us. We have learned about Babylon’s Buffet,
and how Satan tries to destroy our body and mind, and separate us from God through diet. These items on Babylon’s buffet are forbidden
by God. But friends, whenever God helps us take something
away, He always replaces it with something better. Our loving Creator knows exactly what is best
for our health and happiness. Let us now take a visit to God’s Diner. What diet did God originally create for human
beings? And God said, “See, I have given you every
herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit
yields seed; to you it shall be for food.” Yes, in the original Eden paradise that God
created for mankind, he provided a plant-based diet. God knows that this is the ideal diet for
the human race. In fact, modern science confirms this fact. An article entitled “Vegans are the Healthiest
and May Outlive Us All, Says Study” on MensHealth.com, discusses a recent study by the Journal of
Nutrition showing that vegans have higher levels of antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids,
and anti-inflammatory properties in their bodies. The importance of a plant-based diet, made
up of fruits, vegetables, grains, and nuts, is even greater in today’s world. Hormones, drugs, and unsanitary conditions
plague the modern meat industry, laying the foundation for cancer and early death. A 15 year-long study by Oxford university
tracked 60,000 British men and women, 2,246 of them being vegan. The study found that cancer incidence was
19% less in vegans compared to the other diets. God’s way is the best way. “But I won’t get enough protein from that
diet!” some might say. This is a common misconception. In 2013, a study compared the nutrient intake
of over 71,000 vegetarians, non-vegetarians, and vegans. This study, published by the Journal of the
Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, was the largest study to date of it’s kind. It found, that on average, vegans and vegetarians
actually get 70% more protein than they need on a daily basis! But perhaps the most compelling study of all
is found right in the Bible! Did you know that Daniel Chapter 1 has been
recognized as the world’s oldest health study?! After being taken captive to Babylon, Daniel
and the rest of the prisoners were weak and gaunt. King Nebuchadnezzar ordered that all of these
men be given a rich diet full of meat and wine. Daniel requested that he and friends be given
a simple, plant-based diet for a span of 10 days, and then be compared with the other
captives. Daniel’s request was granted, and after
10 days, the Bible records that Daniel and his friends who partook of a plant-based diet
were brought before the king. What were the results of this study? Daniel and his friends were found to be healthy,
strong, and 10x wiser than the greatest wiseman and astrologers in all of Babylon! God’s way is always the best way. While the Bible does not require a plant-based
diet, it is the ideal. My appeal to you today is to at least give
up the things that God forbids, including unclean meats, animal blood and fat, and drugs
such as caffeine and nicotine. However, I do encourage you to consider adopting
a plant-based diet, which is God’s ideal for us. After all, in Heaven, we will all have a meat-free
diet! For their will be no more death in Heaven
– They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My
holy mountain… This all may be new, or even overwhelming
to some of you. But please remember that God gives us this
information because He knows what is best for us, and desires for us to be happy, healthy,
and to have eternal life. Fortunately, God does not ask us to make these
changes on our own. If we did, I would still be eating the same
things I always ate, because I’ll be honest – I liked these foods, I enjoyed them, and
I couldn’t have changed in my own strength. But the good news is, God promises to give
us the power to obey all He asks of us, if we just make the decision to obey Him:
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. And if we decide to follow God’s laws, He
will not only help us to obey, but will even teach to us to WANT to obey!
for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Yes, as you continue to eat a healthier diet,
we will actually learn to love and appreciate these new foods. God will change our heart, if we surrender
it to Him! Plus our sleep will be sounder, our minds
will be sharper and clearer, and we will live longer, more productive lives for God. We only have one life to live friend – let’s
make it count! God is calling us, He is calling you, to glorify
Him in how you eat, drink, and live. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies
himself, just as He is pure. If our hope is in Jesus, if we love Him, we
will purify ourselves of anything in our diet that is not good and pleasing in God’s eyes. Dear friend, if would like to make a decision
to follow God’s health laws, with His help, and glorify God with how you eat and drink,
please write in the comment section below Lord, I choose to glorify you with my diet. Praise God! I will put resources in the description below

  1. I'm a Hindu from India. I believe in Jesus Christ who died for our Sin. I need to know more about him and Christianity.

  2. Thank you Dustin once again for share your studies with all of us. It's funny because for Shabbot this weekend we were studying about Babylon and how even our government is influenced so when I saw your awesome graph is "Babylons Buffet" I was like yuke….but loved your pig graphic. Let's not forget the Babylon gave birth to the god's and idolatry.

  3. What about chocolate? I guess that can't be eaten too… I agree with not eating scavenging animals. Lord I choose to glorify you with my diet!

  4. Oh man. I just went shopping today in the afternoon. I got a couple forbidden items (love my honey mustard pork chops and shrimp scampi) don't exactly have lots of money either, usually just enough to get by. So I'm in a predicament here, though i pledge to not buy this stuff again…

  5. Lord I choose to glorify you with my diet. Thanks Justin for a detailed study of abominable foods and drinks. God Bless your ministry.

  6. Gen 27:7

Bring me venison, and make me savoury meat, that I may eat, and bless thee before the LORD before my death.

  7. Paul tells it as it is folks…
    Col 2:16

Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

  8. I WAS STARTING TO RECONSIDER MY EATING PORK UNTIL…. YOU CAME TO ALCOHOL THERE! I DECIDED TO CONTINUE ENJOYING MY PORK

JESUS DRANK WINE ON EARTH, BUT WE ARE ALSO TOLD TO DRINK WISELY TO AVOID GETTING DRUNK. AND JESUS SAID HE WAS GOING TO DRINK WINE IN HEAVEN….

  9. Like Esau selling his Birthright(eternal life) for a pot of bean stew…. Genesis 25:30-34

…except today they will sell it for a pork chop and a glass of wine..

    Strange infatuation…

Have you not read… "Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise."
    Proverbs 20: 1

…and have you not read that all the obstinate eaters of swine's flesh are going to be consumed..?
"They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse(rodent), shall be consumed together, saith the LORD."
    Isaiah 66:17

Envyings, murders, "drunkenness", revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

    Galatians 5:21

"The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise."
    Proverbs 12:15

Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.

    Proverbs 23:9

As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.

    Proverbs 26:11

Jesus Christ, Our Saviour, Our Example in All Things,(1Peter 2:21), would never let alcohol touch His Lips, and thereby Weaken His Mind and Impair His Judgement…
Neither would He at the wedding of Cana, turn water into an intoxicating drink that would influence men and women, with their children, to become inebriated.

In every possible way Satan tries to make the broad road attractive and the narrow road grievous, humiliating, and objectionable. He lays ingenious plans to lead men and women to indulge appetite. Cheap, unsatisfying pleasures are made all and in all in this age; for over these pleasures Satan has thrown a glamor, and men and women allow them to take the place of eternal things. There are many who, like Esau, sell their birthright for self-indulgence. To them worldly pleasure appears more desirable than the heavenly birthright.

  10. Here are the conditions upon which every soul will be elected to Eternal Life. Your obedience to God’s Commandments will prove your right to an inheritance with the saints in Light. God has elected a certain excellence of Character; and every one who, through the Grace of Christ, shall reach the standard of His requirement, will have an Abundant Entrance into the Kingdom of Glory. All who would reach this standard of Character, will have to employ the means that God has provided to this end. If you would inherit the Rest that remaineth for the children of God, you must become a co-laborer with God. You are elected to wear the yoke of Christ,—to bear His burden, to lift His cross. You are to be diligent “to make your calling and election Sure.” Search the Scriptures, and you will see that not a son or a daughter of Adam is elected to be saved in disobedience to God’s law. The world makes void the law of God; but Christians are chosen to Sanctification through Obedience to The Truth. They are elected to bear the cross, if they would wear the crown.

  12. Thanks brother for your exelent explanation. Hope through prophesies. I BELIEVE THAT. MY QUESTION IS. ARE THESE PROPHESIES FULFILLED. (ISAIAH 2:2-5).. (ISAIAH 11:1-10).. (JEREMIAH 31:31-34).. (JEREMIAH 33:14-18) & (EZEKIEL 37:21-28).. WHEN I READ THESE VERSES CAREFULLY WORD TO WORD, I UNDERSTAND THAT THESE PROMISES THAT GOD MADE TO HIS PEOPLE HAS NOT BEEN ACCOMPLISHED. IT IS CRYSTAL CLEAR THAT WAR HAS NOT STOPPED, TERRORISM, KILLING OF INNOCENT PEOPLE HAS NOT STOPPED, THERE IS NO PEACE NOR SAFETY. SHOULD WE WAIT, BECAUSE GOD CANNOT FAIL. THE QUESTION IS ; HOW WILL GOD FULFILL AND WHEN, WILL GOD SEND A MESSIAH. OR SHOULD WE THINK THAT JESUS CAME DIED FOR OUR SINS AND THAT'S WHAT AND HOW PROPHESIES HAVE BEEN FULFILLED. IF IT IS SO, THEN ONE SAYS THAT MAKES A GOD LIER. THE IMPORTANT THING IS THAT GOD WILL FULFILL IT. HOW WOULD YOU EXPLAIN THESE VERSES. THANKS .

  13. The hot summer sun, that strengthens and ripens the hardy grain, destroys that which has no depth of root. So he who “hath not root in himself,” “dureth for a while”; but “when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.” Many receive the gospel as a way of escape from suffering, rather than as a deliverance from sin. They rejoice for a season, for they think that religion will free them from difficulty and trial. While life moves smoothly with them, they may appear to be consistent Christians. But they faint beneath the fiery test of temptation. They cannot bear reproach for Christ’s sake. "When the word of God points out some [Cherished Sin], or requires self-denial or sacrifice, they are offended." It would cost them too much effort to make a radical change in their life. They look at the present inconvenience and trial, and forget the eternal realities. 41 CSA 20.10

Love must be the principle of action. Love is the underlying principle of God’s government in heaven and earth, and it must be the foundation of the Christian’s character. This alone can make and keep him steadfast. This alone can enable him to withstand trial and temptation. CSA 21.1

And love will be revealed in sacrifice. The plan of redemption was laid in sacrifice—a sacrifice so broad and deep and high that it is immeasurable. Christ gave all for us, and those who receive Christ will be ready to sacrifice all for the sake of their Redeemer. The thought of His honor and glory will come before anything else…. CSA 21.2

  14. The righteousness of Christ will not cover one cherished sin. A man may be a law-breaker in heart; yet if he commits no outward act of transgression, he may be regarded by the world as possessing great integrity. But God’s law looks into the secrets of the heart. Every act is judged by the motives that prompt it.Only that which is in accord with the principles of God’s law will stand in the judgment. COL 316.2

God is love. He has shown that love in the gift of Christ. When “He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life,” He withheld nothing from His purchased possession. (John 3:16.) He gave all heaven, from which we may draw strength and efficiency, that we be not repulsed or overcome by our great adversary. But the love of God does not lead Him to excuse sin. He did not excuse it in Satan; He did not excuse it in Adam or in Cain; nor will He excuse it in any other of the children of men. He will not connive at our sins or overlook our defects of character. He expects us to overcome in His name. COL 316.3

  15. Those who reject the gift of Christ’s righteousness are rejecting the attributes of character which would constitute them the sons and daughters of God. They are rejecting that which alone could give them a fitness for a place at the marriage feast. COL 316.4

In the parable, when the king inquired, “How camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment?” the man was speechless. So it will be in the great judgment day. Men may now excuse their defects of character, but in that day they will offer no excuse. COL 317.1

  16. Many profess to come to Christ while yet they cling to their own ways, which are as a painful yoke.Selfishness, love of the world, or other cherished sin destroys their peace and joy. My fellow Christian,…remember that you are in the service of Christ. Whatever your burden or cross, lift it in the name of Jesus; bear it in His strength. He pronounces the yoke easy and the burden light, and I believe Him. I have proved the truth of His words. FH 167.4

Those who are restless, impatient, dissatisfied under the weight of care and responsibility, are seeking to carry their burden without the aid of Jesus. If He were by their side, the sunshine of His presence would scatter every cloud, the help of His strong arm would lighten every burden…. FH 167.5

We cumber ourselves with needless cares and anxieties and weigh ourselves down with heavy burdens because we do not learn of Jesus…. Christ’s true followers are unlike the world in words, in works, and in deportment. Oh, why will not all His professed children follow Him fully? Why will any bear burdens which He has not imposed?… FH 167.6

In every act of life Christians should seek to represent Christ-seek to make His service appear attractive…. Let the graces of the Spirit be manifested in kindness, meekness, forbearance, cheerfulness, and love…. FH 167.7

Love to Jesus will be seen, will be felt. It cannot be hidden. It exerts a wondrous power. It makes the timid bold, the slothful diligent, the ignorant wise…. Love to Christ will not be dismayed by tribulation nor turned aside from duty by reproaches.—The Review and Herald, November 29, 1887. FH 167.8

  17. Once again, what is this man smoking? Jesus said " nothing that goes into your mouth can defile you, but out of your mouth, because from your mouth come thoughts from your heart. This is what defiles. Nothing you eat is a SIN. NOTHING. Repent, stop sinning, and know Jesus. Period. Do not add to the Gospel. I'm probably done with ham after knowing this but calling it sin is nuts. There are SO MANY FALSE TEACHERS ANYMORE. The Bible says there will be preachers of righteousness who come in sheeps clothing. This man is one of them. Trying to earn your way into Heaven is not the way. Repent, turn from sin, and you will stumble because we have a sinful nature, Jesus died for our sins. And he set us free. So who is correct? This man or Jesus?

  18. Also purify yourself in the spirit not in there flesh. If you want to do Gods will and Glorify God. Open the 10 commandments up to them and ask them if they've kept them. This is Gods good perfect will. This is also how to correctly follow Jesus. Notice how Jesus responded when he was asked how to inherit eternal life. He referred back to the 10 Commandments. Show people ( without accusing them) that NO ONE has kept them blamelessly. He referred to the Moral Law not the unclean animals law. It is not a sin to eat ham, but after knowing they would eat there own dead young, I will probably be done with ham

  19. Let none who profess godliness regard with indifference the health of the body, and flatter themselves that intemperance is no sin, and will not affect their spirituality.

  20. And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase.

    Deuteronomy 14:8

  21. They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse (rodent family; mice, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits), shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.
    Isaiah 66:17

  22. And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you.

    Leviticus 11:7

  23. The tissues of the swine swarm with parasites. Of the swine, God said, “It is unclean unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcass.”
{Deuteronomy 14:8}. This command was given because swine’s flesh is unfit for food. Swine are scavengers, and this is the only use they were intended to serve. Never, under any circumstances, was their flesh to be eaten by human beings.—The Ministry of Healing, 313, 314, 1905 CD 392.2

  24. I can't believe you put Joel Osteen ro tell us about what not to eat when he is the least qualified person to talk about the gospel, false Doctrine pastor ,Prosperity gospel, I'm sorry but he's taking many people to hell

  25. The Power of Choice!

Jesus said… "without Me you can do nothing." John 15:5

    We are Powerless…

    God is The Omnipotent Power..

    We have the Choice!

As soon as we choose His Love, His Righteousness, His Deliverance, His Salvation, He supplies His Omnipotent Power to "Our Choice"

He will "Honor" Our Choice. 👇

14 Because he hath set his love upon Me, therefore will I 👉"Deliver" him: I will set him on high, 👉because he hath known "My Name."👈 His Character of Agape Love and Benevolence, His Mercy, His Forgiveness and His Amazing Grace…

15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will 👉"Deliver" him, and 👉"Honour" him.
16 With long life will I 👉satisfy him, and shew him 👉My Salvation.
    Psalm 91:14-16 KJV

We may have to endure the pain of change or the pain of withdrawal but He will supply His Omnipotent 👇Power to our choice.

  26. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

    Colossians 2:16 KJV

  27. 16 Let no man therefore judge[Condemn] you in meat[Food], or in drink[ New Wine], or in respect of an holyday[ Passover, Penticost, ect., Feasts ], or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days:
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

    Colossians 2:16,17

The early church founded by the leadership of the Apostles went by the Old Testament Statues of clean meats, foods and drink[New wine = unfermented wine], the feast days, the New Moon and Sabbath Days.
But Paganism, creeping into the church, was trying to change the Apostles teaching by commanding the people to abstain from certain foods and replacing holy days with pagan holidays such as Lent ect.. , Paganism was bringing fermented wine into the worship service.[See Leviticus chapter 10 for God's Statue (v.9)against that]. Paganism was attempting to change the church from the inside out.
The Apostle Paul in Colossians 2:16,17 is not saying let no man tell you what you can eat, all foods are good to eat, but rather, he is saying… "Don't let the paganism coming into the church tell you to abstain from this or that or command you to keep this new holy day or to change the Sabbath day or days. What God has already declared as clean or unclean still stands as well as the Old Testament Feast Days, Holy Days and especially the Seventh Day Sabbath."

  28. Let none who profess godliness regard with indifference the health of the body, and flatter themselves that intemperance is no sin, and will not affect their spirituality.

  29. GOD been speaking to me to about my diet then he was speaking to me in this video thank u so much I will choose god’s way his way is better I will honor him

  30. Thanks for sharing this with me and us! I wouldnt have found this information if it wasnt for you. I need to read my bible more. God bless

  31. Lord i choose to glorify you with my diet. Please help me to know and love what is good and acceptable to eat. Amen.

  32. ROMANS 14:1-3
If you avoid pork for health reasons it's fine. In some cases it can be fatal to eat pork or any high fat meat or even meat itself.
But what you eat and don't doesn't have to do anything with your salvation, which is through Jesus Christ alone.

  33. Live by the law, die by the law, if you're basing you're diet on Leviticus you better look at the other 600 plus laws and follow them too

  34. God gives concession to eat meat, because of your evil hearts.Jesus says "I desire mercy not sacrifice"Matthew 9:13.
On The beginning Genesis 1:29, and on the new world Isaiah 11:6, God show us a world of harmony, human and animals eating just plants. John 2:16 Jesus interrupted the animals sacrifices, the early father's talk just about bread, even Jesus talk about just the bread Matthew 16:9.The early followers had a plant based diet on the Dead Sea Scrolls James the brother of Jesus is vegan, in Matthew 4:19 Jesus says; follow me, you will make you fishers of man. Shouldn't we become vegans? I think so

  35. Informative & good video, however…does the wine we drink at Church not become Christ's blood, and is not wine?? Even Jews today are big wine-drinkers.

  36. The controlling power of appetite will prove the ruin of thousands, when, if they had conquered on this point, they would have had moral power to gain the victory over every other temptation of Satan. But those who are slaves to appetite will fail in perfecting Christian character. The continual transgression of man for six thousand years has brought sickness, pain, and death as its fruits. And as we near the close of time, Satan’s temptation to indulge appetite will be more powerful and more difficult to overcome.—Testimonies for the Church 3:490-492, 1875 CD 163.

  37. I choose to bless God our Father and glorify Him with what I eat. And I do agree that in Heaven we will not eat meat and there will be no murder. I want to bring God's will here on earth as in Heaven. I love Yahweh.

  38. I don't agree that people will be destroyed by God for eating unclean meat, but its surely not healthy for ones body. Jesus also said anything that enters your body doesn't make one unclean but its the filthy desires from your heart makes one unclean

  39. It is not what a person eats/goes into them, but what comes out of them through their words, actions, speech, etc is what defiles a person, for God made animals such as pig to be food for man in addition to the fruits of the trees(right in Genesis)do your research people and stop letting Pharisee type Judaism in disguise which tried to and still trying to snuff out Christianity sucker you people.

  41. Controlling the Appetites and Passions

“Abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul,” is the language of the apostle Peter (1 Peter 2:11). Many regard this text as a warning against licentiousness only, but it has a broader meaning. It forbids every injurious gratification of appetite or passion. Let none who profess godliness regard with indifference the health of the body, and flatter themselves that intemperance is no sin, and will not affect their spirituality. A close sympathy exists between the physical and the moral nature. Any habit which does not promote health degrades the higher and nobler faculties. Wrong habits of eating and drinking lead to errors in thought and action. Indulgence of appetite strengthens the animal propensities, giving them the ascendancy over the mental and spiritual powers. SL 25.1

  44. I'm so amazed… I'm a Christian and 100% of church in my state cooks pork but which we keep in sanitary place … The ones we feed and take care ourselves…. Idk what should we do😅

  45. Drinking wine in itself is not a sin . Jesus drank wine, God suggests the people to drink wine /strong drink in Deuteronomy 14 . The bible warns about drunkenness

  46. But Jesus said all foods are clean

    Mark 7:18-20 And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;

19 Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?

20 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.

  47. You can eat pork because of when Paul said I will not eat anything unclean or uncommon God said do not call anything that comes from me unclean or uncommon and it is also is because of the new covenant but yes pigs are scavengers but if you bless the food by the power and blood of king Jesus Christ you should be fine…

  48. New Living Translation
Food doesn't go into your heart, but only passes through the stomach and then goes into the sewer." (By saying this, he declared that every kind of food is acceptable in God's eyes.)

  49. Thank you Dustin, that was a fantastic video, I just got over pork some time back now for caffeine product like coffee. So grateful to you!!!
Our God is a good God! And He will help me to get over this too.

  50. 11] Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. … [18] But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man

  51. Please explain to me because I am CONFUSED. Jesus came and fulfilled the law and says that nothing that enters a person defiles him because it enters not his heart, but his stomach and is expelled. How can the Old Testament laws still apply to us today? Please help

  52. God put an end to the "condemnation" of The Law..!

If by faith… you have received forgiveness for sin, then you are not under the "condemnation"of The Law, you are forgiven; yet The Law still exists; and you cannot transgress The Law of God without impunity (pain or penalty). For "sin is the transgression of the Law" (1 John 3:4) and "the wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23)…"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."
    (Galatians 6:7)

  53. Those who feel the constraining love of God do not ask how little may be given in order to obtain the heavenly reward; they ask not for the lowest standard, but aim at a perfect conformity to the will of their Redeemer. With ardent desire they yield all, and manifest zeal proportionate to the value of the object of which they are in pursuit. What is the object? Immortality, eternal life.

  55. Thank you about the food and drinks what we can eat and not eat, i eat long time no pork more and I never liked shrimp and all other things in the ocean just tuna and salmon, i even don't eat blood or fat , and about alcohol I stopped it long ago and I'm happy but I smoke and drink cappuccino seems I have to stop for jesus everytime but you said no soda because of coffein what's with soda with no sugar and coffein… god bless

  56. Thanks for making this video, for others who doesn’t know yet, yes it’s clear in the Bible but most people don’t read their Bibles even some Christians…

  57. The preachers who read the bible as literal truth are unclean. They pull golden nuggets from their diapers and feed these to their followers.

  58. I'm pretty sure that it's not a sin to eat pork. In the Gospel of Mark, it is written that Jesus declared to the Pharisees that all foods are clean, and that goes into a man is not evil or sinful but what comes out of a man is; thoughts that people have in their mind about lust, sexual immorality, rape, murder, violence, greed, etc. Pork eating, which had been outlawed in Leviticus in the Old Testament was now okay according to Jesus. You don't have to take my word for it Dustin but I hope you look this up and find out for yourself

  59. that's the first time i heard Joel say something like that, i did see a clip of him saying the oppose too (if i'm not mistaken) Thank you for this video

  60. I don't get my some Christians are so quick to throw away God's commandments…..Jesus even said, If you love me KEEP my commandments.

  61. My Father, God Almighty, I decide to glorify You with my Diet. I will henceforth eat foods only which the Holy Bible recommends, In Jesus Mighty Name.

  62. Excellent! And thank you! Truly love and appreciate what you do our brother in Christ, but isn’t coffee beans made by God? A cup of coffee is not okay? I Am vegan 🌱 I don’t drink alcohol or sodas or feel I do anything to offend The Body of Christ or The Holy Trinity Spirit, I go days without eating so The Oracles of God are Clear. I stay in prayer most times for a couple hours before a cup. It seems to not hinder me in any way! I forbear many things let me know if coffee for sure is off the table? I know not of this. I need to pray and ask Ahala Abun about this, If so I need to repent and start abstaining from coffee. 🤷‍♀️Shlama, Taybutha ✝️
