How to Make a Chinese Take -Out Box with Your Silhouette Cameo

Hi, guys, today I’m going to show you how
to put together my Chinese take-out box. So, I actually have lots of these in the store
and I just added these themed ones, so ones that are related to Fall and Halloween and
then I have this cute pear one I’m going to put together for you. So let me just show you really quick, let’s
see, it’s probably easiest to show you on this one, how they come together. But, they’re just, they have an opening,
so you can add ribbon to them and they open like this and you can see that they look like
a fun take-out box. So, this is mostly about showing you how to
fold it because sometimes it gets a little crazy, so let me just show you how to do that. You can see here that this is my little pear
box, I’m actually really excited about this, I think these make the cutest favor boxes,
too. And they’re easy to cut. Like, it’s a single cut on a twelve by twelve
if you make it a lot smaller than that and cut it on a portrait you can but it’s going
to be a really small box. So. So, this is how I fold it. So first I go about folding along this line
and this line, okay, and then I score it on the opposite, so that we’re getting all
the sides here. And then I kind of do the tops and fold them
all in like that, okay. So, now the part that you have to really score
and fold in is these little edges, okay. So, I’m going to fold those out. Just following those score lines. Okay? Now, so when you go to fold it you can see
they should not match up. You’ve cut it correctly, they have not matched
up. Cause they’re going to fold towards one
way or the other. Now, so, you can see, see how that funky,
I mean that means it’s going the wrong way. So you have to fold it the opposite way. Okay? So, I’m going to just do that to every single
side. You can see, see how that side’s coming
together now? And then same deal over here. It’s obviously going to go on this side
like that. So once you have folded it in, you’re going
to put a dab of glue in that corner area, just like that, and then fold that into place,
I’m going to fold it again and glue it so that you have one side completely in, turn
to the other side, do a great little glue bit right there, glue the other side, and
then you have finished the main part of the box. You can see I’ve just folded it together
and closed it up. So then I’ve added some embellishments for
you. So, this one, you’re only going to need
two, cause you’re just going to do one on this side, flip it over, do one on this side,
just like that, and then I’ve got some cute little pears for you to put in the center,
and you could do that with a contrasting green if you wanted. I just find it so nice to be able to cut basically
the pears, um, the pears and the box all at one time and then the cream part all at one
time. So it’s like two cuts on your machine so
it makes it really super fast. But look how cute that turned out. Add some cute ribbon to it or embellishments
and that makes like the most adorable favor box. Okay, so that’s it. Make sure and check these all out in my shop. You can find the link in the description. Make sure and subscribe to the channel so
