we are preparing dim posto a Bengali egg and poppy seed curry dish ingredients and quantities are listed in the description box keep a kadhai on medium heat and add the mustard oil once the oil is hot reduce heat to low and add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder & boiled eggs saute the eggs until the whites are lightly browned keep heat on low remove and keep aside when done in the same oil put in the dry whole red chillies and bay leaves saute for 15-20 seconds add the pureed onion, raise heat to low-medium saute until the onion starts to turn light brown after about 3 minutes the onions are done reduce heat to low and put in the ginger paste saute until the paste turns brown put in the tomato & green chilli puree raise heat to low-medium and saute for a minute put in the dry spices red chilli powder turmeric powder and salt reduce heat to low and stir cook until the oil separates out of the masala the oil has started separating out of the masala add the khus khus paste and mix well keep heat on low and saute for 2 minutes. now add 1 cup of water and stir until it mixes add in 1 more up of water and stir again raise heat to low-medium and let the gravy come to a boil the gravy has come to a boil put in the eggs and the garam masala mix well reduce heat to low and cover with a lid and cook for 8-10 minutes until the gravy is thick keep stirring a few times in between putting back the lid after stirring after 10 minutes our dish is ready sprinkle a little cilantro and remove the dish to a serving bowl our dish of the day – dim posto is ready. serve it with rice or roti do try it and give your feedback if you like the recipe please share our video and subscribe to our channel and press the bell icon so you are notified about our new videos. thanks for watching
