Chinese Eggplant with Garlic Sauce 鱼香茄子(中文字幕,Eng Sub)

hi everyone today I’m going to make
eggplant with garlic sauce this will be a healthy version instead of a frying
I’m going to steam the eggplant here are ingredients I have three eggplants
Chinese eggplants already cut into about 1 inch pieces soak in water and about
teaspoon salt this way the eggplant are not going to change color I have two
scallions chopped up and four cloves of garlic minced it’s about 1 tablespoon
minced ginger and 1 tablespoon spicy bean paste chopped finely this is
spicy bean paste, tbsp sugar, 1 tsp corn starch, vinegar, soy sauce and oil
first let me mix the sauce so we have about 1/2 cup of water we add the sugar tsp of
soy sauce and tsp of vinegar cornstarch mix it up now we are going to drain the
eggplant and steam it about eight minutes after 8 minutes eggplants ready and we’re going to cook let’s turn up the stove to medium-high heat add two tablespoons of oil now let’s add ginger garlic, white parts of scallions then add bean paste sauté about a minute now let’s turn up the heat to high add eggplant in mix it up now let’s add the sauce let it boil and cook about two minutes now the sauce is thickening
let’s add some scallions leaving some for garnish and it’s ready to serve very healthy and delicious eggplant with garlic sauce hope you enjoy it thank you for watching see you next time

  6. does pearl river bridge have no-msg and organic soy sauce? all pearl river bridge's soy sauces have msg. i was told that they have the best tasting soy sauce. however, 97% of soy in the US is GMO. im trying to avoid it as much as i can.

  11. Nice recipe – but i would have steamed for 4 minutes so the egg plant holds it shape and not go all mushy in the pan when adding the other ingredients

  16. To clarify, is the dark vinegar that is for the recipe called chinkiang vinegar or is it just black/dark vinegar? The Asian stores sell both kinds. Please reply. Thanks.
