BabyCorn Manchurian | Baby Corn Manchurian


Are you crazy about Manchurians? Well I’m. And today I’ll prepare my favorite Indo-Chinese recipe. It is Babycorn Manchurian. Babycorn Manchurian is made by deep frying the babycorns which are dipped in the batter of corn flour and all-purpose flour. You’ll then mix various vegetables and sauces to make an ultimate Manchurian starter. The Babycorn Manchurian recipe is very simple and does not take much of your time. So you can even make this Babycorn Manchurian as a quick brunch with bread, rotis or naan. So let’s look at the ingredients. To prepare the batter, you need 5 to 6 babycorns, cut into three parts and rinsed in water. Two tablespoons of corn flour. Two tablespoons of all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon of ginger garlic paste. Salt as per taste. Quarter cup of water. Cooking oil for deep frying and to prepare the sauce, you need One teaspoon of ginger, finely chopped. 1 teaspoon of garlic, finely chopped. 1 to 2 green chiles, slit into half. 1 medium onion, finely chopped. 1/4 cup of capsicum juliennes. 1/4 cup of spring onions, finely chopped. You may have to reserve some of them for garnishing. 1.5 tablespoons of soy sauce. 1.5 teaspoons of red chili sauce. Two tablespoons of tomato ketchup. 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper powder. 1 teaspoon of corn flour, dissolved in two tablespoons of water. Alright, so let’s look at the directions. Now in a mixing bowl, I’m going to add corn flour. All-purpose flour. Ginger-Garlic Paste. and salt. To this, I’m going to add 1/4 cup of water. We’ll mix everything well to ensure that there are no lumps. And we will make a thick batter. Now I’m going to add babycorn pieces in it and coat them evenly with the batter. Ok. I already have cooking oil in a pan on a medium flame. And when the cooking oil is hot enough, I’m going to drop the coated babycorn pieces into the hot oil. You have to deep fry the babycorn pieces until they become light brown in color. Ok. So it seems like they are light brown in color. So I’m going to transfer them to a serving plate. Alright the babycorns have been deep fried. Next, we are going to make the sauce for which, I’m going to add 1 tablespoon of oil in a wok over a high flame. To this, I’m going to add finely chopped ginger. and finely chopped garlic. and I’m going to slit green chilies. chopped onions. little bit of salt. and I’m going to saute them for a minute. Now I’m going to add capsicum juliennes and saute them for couple of minutes. I’ll add spring onions and give them a mix. Now I”ll add red chili sauce. Soy sauce. Tomato ketchup. and black pepper powder. We are going to mix them well and cook for 30 to 40 seconds. Now I’m going to add corn flour which has been dissolved in two tablespoons of water. I’m going to mix them well and cook for a minute. Finally, I’m going to add fried babycorn pieces. I’m going to mix all the ingredients. And I’ll ensure that the babycorn pieces are coated well with the sauce. Now we are going to cook for approximately 2 minutes. There you go, your babycorn manchurian is ready to be served. -:) You can serve it with sauce of your choice and you can garnish it with the spring onion greens I hope you like this video.
